İnci GS Yuasa celebrates the third anniversary of its partnership with the Japanese battery giant GS Yuasa, and its 34th anniversary at an event held in Izmir. During the ceremony attended by the İnci GS Yuasa family, long service awards are given to employees with 10, 20 and 30 years with the company.

Proudly lifting the fifty millionth battery from the production line, the leading battery manufacturer İnci GS Yuasa celebrated the third anniversary of its partnership with the Japanese battery giant GS Yuasa, and its 34th anniversary at a ceremony organised with its employee and partners.

 

During the evening, President of İnci Holding Neşe Gök, Director of Executive Board of İnci GS Yuasa Cihan Elbirlik, and Deputy Director of Executive Board of İnci GS Yuasa Hirofumi Umetani addressed those present.

 

Elbirlik: ‘Sustainable, strong cooperation.’

 

İnci GS Yuasa proceeds by combining experience and technology in its 34th year, said Cihan Elbirlik, and remarked on the rapid transformation of the energy sector. Pointing to İnci GS Yuasa’s pioneering position in Izmir, Turkey and world, Elbirlik continued, ‘Thanks to the hundred years of knowledge, expertise and experience of our Japanese partner GS Yuasa, one of the global giants of the sector, we continue to increase our success as a technology- and service leader in Turkey.’

 

Umetani: ‘Leadership is our business’

 

In his address, Deputy Director of Executive Board of İnci GS Yuasa Hirofumi Umetani said, ‘In the third year of our partnership, our fifty millionth battery came off the production line. Our target for our 50th year is to produce 150 million batteries. Our biggest guarantee and support on this way will be our third factory scheduled to go into operation in 2019. Thanks to our strong partnership, we continue to grow with our investments. Conscious of our responsibility as a global leader, we will work more, produce more, and reinforce our position as an energy storage leader. As I always say, a bright future is not something that awaits us; for me, it is something we have to go and get.’

 

Gök: ‘We have been producing for Turkey for 66 years.’

 

President of İnci Holding Neşe Gök started her speech by celebrating the third year of the İnci GS Yuasa partnership and the 34th anniversary of İnci Akü and said, ‘That we are now in a position to manufacture in eight facilities as the new factory opens, and export 63% of our output to more than 100 countries is largely due to our employees! As an exporter from this region to the whole world, we strive for the development of both the Aegean region and the country. We will produce more and contribute more. To this end, our company vision is now “We enhance the company’s value through international investments in future business sectors and hand it over to new generations.” ’
