Gök: We strive towards new achievements

 

İnci Holding President Neşe Gök reassured 3,000 employees at the Cevdet İnci Awards and Generations Meeting, held online for the first time this year. Gök said, ‘As our management moves into the third generation, we combine 68 years of experience and values. With ten companies and close to 3,000 employees, we produce for our country and serve the world from the Aegean Region. We strive to add new chapters to the success story that was written by my grandfather.’

 

İnci Holding’s traditional annual commemoration for founder Cevdet İnci was held on the digital platform for the first time this year. Close to 3,000 employees of this venerable Turkish institution shared the same sentiments at the Cevdet İnci Awards and Generations Meeting, which was held online due to the pandemic on 4 December. Employees’ families also joined in the digital event highlighting the need for sustainability with the theme ‘Confidently moving from generation to generation.’ The event was moderated by Sevinç Satıroğlu.

‘I am proud to carry this flag’

 

The first person to address the employees was İnci Holding President Neşe Gök. Noting the reverence with which Cevdet İnci is missed, she said, ‘The holding built by my grandfather is 68 years old… It is his momentous vision that has guided and strengthened us and brought us to this point today. As our management moves into the third generation, we combine 68 years of experience and values. With ten companies and close to three thousand employees, we produce for our country and serve the world from the Aegean Region. We strive to add new chapters to the success story that was written by my grandfather. We are aware that there is much more for us to do as the Pearl of Turkey. We are a very big brand with world-class quality in the automotive sector. Our brands manufactured in the Manisa facilities are the choice of global giants, which is just cause for pride.’

 

‘We invest in the future’

 

Speaking after Gök, İnci Holding CEO Zeki Şafak Ozan reassured those present about the future. Ozan said, ‘Confidently and resolutely is how our 68-year-old İnci Holding continues on its path, as it carries a shared heritage and culture, thanks to your invaluable contributions and efforts. Our group of ten companies and 3,000 employees today enjoys partnerships with global giants, which not only fills us with pride, but also makes significant contributions to the advance of our country as some of the leading companies in their fields. Today, we export 70 per cent of our total output to over 100 countries. Our car batteries and wheels move millions of vehicles, our hotel equipment serves countless hotel chains, and we provide logistic services to many points across the world. As we prepare ourselves for the future with investments and planned technological advances in our main activity areas, we also appraise the business areas of the future in this world of constant change, progress and technological transformation. Our investments on the international stage and in the business areas of the future will continue to grow so that we may hand over an even stronger group portfolio to future generations.

 

Choosing İnci Holding’s Social Message 

 

Writer Sunay Akın’s speech, which came next, was entitled ‘Confident Progress from Generation to Generation’. This was followed by the presentation of the Cevdet İnci Incentive Awards, Social Message Awards, Internal Audit Awards and the ISG Awards in recognition of the projects and processes that have contributed to the company throughout 2020.

 

The 2021 Social Message on the theme of ‘generations’ was selected, as usual, by a vote of the entire work force: ‘Progress with confidence through generations’
