Operating since 1952 in the battery, wheels and tyre markets, the fundamental elements of the automotive industry, İncitaş celebrated its 60th year with its dealers. More than 200 main dealers and more than 550 retailer dealers attended the dealers meeting held at Antalya Rixos Sungate Hotel between March 16-18, under the theme of ‘60 years of experience, endless passion for success’. İncitaş explained to the dealers its 2011 performance assessment and targets and strategies for 2012.

President of İnci Holding Meral İnci Zaim opened the İncitaş 60th anniversary dealers meeting with a presentation. After greeting the dealers with, ‘We’ve come a long way together. Each year we grow younger and more dynamic. We have gathered here to celebrate İncitaş’ success story of 60 years and to work on our future plans,’ she said, before evaluating the developments in the world and Turkey, with particular emphasis on Turkey’s economic growth in the recent years.

 

Stressing that it was the vision of Cevdet İnci, the founder of İnci Holding, that paved the way for today’s success, Meral İnci Zaim concluded by saying, ‘We have walked hand in hand with you for 60 years. With 60 years of experience, endless passion for success...’ and invited second-generation dealers who have taken over İncitaş dealerships from their fathers and presented the dealers with a copy of the Cevdet İnci book.

 

We Will Take Our Place in the Hearts of Tomorrow’s Vehicles!

 

Starting her presentation with a video show on tomorrow’s world and vehicles, President of İncitaş and Board Member of İnci Holding Perihan İnci spoke of the future that they have designed: ‘Should we be a grain of sand in the sea or an atom? Thanks to Cevdet İnci’s powerful vision of 60 years ago, İncitaş is where it is today.’ Emphasising the difference created by investing in people and being innovative and entrepreneurial, Perihan İnci noted that İncitaş was determined to carry the concept of batteries to a whole different level. She added that planned Research and Development will convey İncitaş to the hearts of tomorrow’s vehicless.

 

In his speech, İnci Holding Sales and Distribution Coordinator Selim Baybaş related the developments in the automotive markets in the world and in Turkey and noted, ‘Within the last ten years, China, India and Turkey have raised their shares in the total automotive market to 31.3%, and these ratios are expected to rise over 50% in 2020.’ On İnci Group strategies for the future, he emphasised retail management strategy as the channel that catches up with the future in energy expertise in the world of batteries in line with the changes in vehicle technologies, service chain network structure that responds to all vehicle repair and maintenance needs of end users through a modern and technological infrastructure, market leadership in the Group brands and investing in employees.

 

İncitaş General Manager Serdar Demirdağ said, ‘Whilst İncitaş, the first company of our Group, is approaching its 60th year, we share our passion for growth and synergy with our dealers. 2011 gave us 35% growth in battery brand sales in the domestic market, not to mention record-breaking growth rates of 160% in wheels sales and 60% in tyre sales. As İncitaş, in 2012, we will continue our passion for growth with the processes, the foundations of which we have laid in 2011, as well as new retail solutions.’

 

Guest Speaker Sunay Akın said, ‘Here we make Cevdet İnci’s dreams come true,’ whilst Nasuh Mahruki shared the secrets of success with İncitaş dealers. He noted that everyone has his/her own Everest to climb and showed his road map to sustainable success.

 

The meetings continued with parallel sessions for battery, wheels and tyre groups. At the Gala Night held later, Candan Erçetin entertained the guests with her wonderful songs.
